At the heart of the Travel Radio
Network strategy is the "Junior
Travel Reporter©"
or "Amateur Travel Reporter©" concept. With the Travel
Radio Network model, we turn radio and television winners into
entertaining on-air winning positive testimonials, often live from the
destination. It works for the tourism destination, it works for the
radio and television stations and it works for the contest winner...not
just any winner but the
"Junior Travel Reporters".
Our first
Junior Travel Reporter trip was awarded in 1993 at KLAC Radio in Los
Angeles. The station had been selling travel promotions but had never
included a free trip to a KLAC listener as part of the promotion. Our
first Junior Travel Reporter traveled with us from LA to Montreal, Quebec City
and Gaspé, Quebec. It was a success. The listeners back home in Southern
California heard real people talking about their experiences. not simply
hype and advertising. The Junior Travel Reporter added credibility to an
otherwise typical travel promotion. |
